How to Dress a Stethoscope...

Have a stethoscope
Have a Stethoscope Cover
Insert the part of the stethoscope that goes on the patient into one end of the stethoscope cover.

Slide the stethoscope all the way through to the other end of the stethoscope cover.

Observe how the patient end of the stethoscope is now uncovered, but the tubing is covered.

Your stethoscope is now dressed and ready to go where you go. To undress the stethoscope at the end of the shift, just reverse the instructions. Throw your stethoscope cover in the washer and dryer with your scrubs and it is ready for another shift.

I hope you have enjoyed this lesson on dressing and undressing a stethoscope. The purpose of stethoscope covers is to protect your investment in the stethoscope. Tubing can get expensive to replace, of course so can the other components. Not only will this make the tubing last longer, it will keep it cleaner and save your neck from getting sticky and your hair from being pulled when you take the stethoscope from around your neck to put the part you hear with in your ears. The patients will love your sense of style.

There is a selection of stethoscope covers in my shop and more are being added soon. Sorry folks, this stethoscope is not included in your purchase of a stethoscope cover.

Auction March 21 at 12:00pm until March 28 at 7:00pm

A friend of mine on Facebook is running an auction to help out a friend of hers who is need. Being a good friend to this new friend... I donated 3 of my items to the Auction. Here is the link to the Event

Our dear friend, Christine, has Quadraplegia incomplete Cerebral Palsy. At the end of February, she is having to undergo surgery to address some CP-related issues she is having. She will be in hospital for at least 2 or 3 days, and then will face recovery. Those of you familiar with the condition know that a body with CP does not cope well with inactivity, and Chris will need in-home therapy to help her recover. Without this help, she would likely be worse off after surgery than before. Please help us help Chris pay for the medical and therapeutic needs she will have, to recover and maintain some independence.
We are putting together an auction, and we need your help! We need donations! If you have an etsy shop, or a business, or a talent for something crafty, please consider donating something to help Chris. If you don't have anything to donate, please ask your friends! Please share this event with all your friends! The more people who join, the more help we will be.
I am hoping to have enough donations to hold the auction the last weekend of February. I will put together a photo album on this page with all the items available, and you will have the opportunity to browse the goodies and place bids on the things you'd like to win. The highest bidder at the end of the auction will win the item, and it will be shipped out once payment is received.
The link below takes you to the Items up for Auction.

Reversible Doll Purse

I was looking around for something to add to the Fabric Crafts Section of my shop and I found a few versions of a Reversible Purse. The pattern I settled on can be found for free on several sites. I started with the size the pattern printed out on to try it out. I have since enlarged the pattern a couple of times, but haven't made but this first version. Enjoy.

The Wacky World of BethiefliesToo

The photo above is really just the tip of the iceberg in the wacky world of BethiefliesToo. There are many more items that haven't been photoed. More dolls, more pincushions that haven't been covered with fabric, more bags and pillows. The photo above shows in a thumbnail what is currently listed, not what has been sold or yet to be listed. You can check my sold items for things that have sold.

The things that haven't been listed yet are awaiting their time in the light tent, so keep tuning in for updates on that.

I do have a question and I hope my readers will provide answers. What items would you like to see more of?
  • Cloth Dolls and Animals
  • Fabric Crafts
  • Sewing Room Supplies
  • Vintage Costume Jewelry
  • Something totally new and different

Enter the wacky world of BethiefliesToo and you may never want to leave.

4 Years On Etsy

On March 12, 2008 I joined Etsy and set up shop as berrybluecreations. I had been berrybluecreations for 4 years prior to joining Etsy, selling a couple of items a year on my own website which no longer exists. I tried opening a second shop DollandAnimalsbyDBW, but closed it a few months later and had that shop completely deactivated. It just never took off and after the items I had listed in that shop expired, I let it go. By October 2011 I was in desperate need of a change for the shop. So I closed berrybluecreations and opened BethiefliesToo. Opened on Oct 6, 2011

What to look for this season

I was delighted to get to splurge on some new fabric recently. So be on the look out for new items in my shop, sporting one or more of these fabrics.

You can click on the image to get a bigger view. I'm thinking dolls, animals, clothes for the dolls, perhaps some bags, or home decor, maybe something completely different.
